Resort Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist in driving revenue-generating activities for both all-inclusive and select resort properties of a premier global hotel chain by forming strategic partnerships with wholesalers and travel agents.

• Cultivate and uphold robust relationships with business development managers from wholesale partners and front-line travel agents within the assigned region.

• Represent all-inclusive and resort properties through in-person and virtual sales calls, webinars, training sessions, territory events, and familiarization (FAM) trips.

• Organize and implement collaborative sales initiatives with wholesale partners, which include agency visits, educational workshops, and promotional campaigns.

• Create engaging, customized sales presentations and collateral that enhance awareness, advocacy, and conversion across wholesale and travel-agent channels.

• Convert property features, resort experiences, room categories, and brand differentiators into clear, concise, and marketable narratives.

• Provide engaging product education that empowers travel advisors to confidently articulate key selling points, ideal guest profiles, and unique value propositions.

• Develop succinct selling tools, talk tracks, and support documentation that streamline product knowledge and bolster advisor confidence and conversion rates.

• Maximize advisor outreach by connecting with a high volume of selling travel agents during every interaction, event, or initiative.

• Diligently record and maintain all sales activities, partner interactions, and travel-agent engagements in Salesforce.

• Keep an updated Outlook calendar that reflects meetings, sales calls, events, and travel schedules.

• Oversee expenses and ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation.

• Actively participate in mandatory meetings, conference calls, and internal discussions in a professional manner.

• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to support territory initiatives and commercial objectives.

• Exhibit flexibility to work non-standard hours and undertake reasonable ad-hoc responsibilities as necessary.

• Analyze wholesaler and travel-agent account profiles to uncover opportunities, prioritize relationships, and focus efforts on high-potential partners.

• Formulate account-specific sales strategies using relevant data to inform call planning, engagement tactics, and content creation.

• Segment and prioritize partners based on performance metrics, market opportunities, brand alignment, and growth potential.

• Tailor presentations and messaging by utilizing insights and independent judgment to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

• Review performance trends with partners to identify growth drivers or declines and discover new business opportunities.

• Utilize market insights and advisor feedback to enhance property positioning and make the resort portfolio more comprehensible, recommendable, and marketable.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of pertinent sales experience within the hospitality or travel sector.

• Strong skills in relationship-building and stakeholder management, with the capacity to engage and influence wholesalers and travel agents across diverse channels.

• Established network of travel advisors, host agencies, consortia, and/or wholesale partners within the designated region, with the capability to activate relationships swiftly.

• Proven ability to confidently represent a diverse array of all-inclusive and resort properties with strong brand alignment.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually, with the ability to adapt messaging to various audiences.

• Effective storyteller capable of translating resort experiences, product features, and value propositions into captivating, easy-to-sell narratives.

• Strong product knowledge and meticulous attention to detail, including room categories, inclusions, guest fit, and competitive differentiation.

• Experience in conducting engaging educational sessions and training that foster advisor confidence and advocacy.

• Solid understanding of the Mexico and Caribbean all-inclusive and resort landscape, along with current leisure travel advisor needs.

• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage a wide territory, multiple priorities, and frequent travel.

• Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities, evaluate account potential, and prioritize efforts accordingly.

• Comfortable working independently in a field-based, remote role while effectively collaborating with internal teams.

• High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.

• Proficiency with CRM and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce and Microsoft Office).
