Residential Remodeling Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs from architectural plans and specifications.

• Assist in budgeting and preconstruction planning activities.

• Coordinate requests for bids and pricing from subcontractors.

• Review project documentation, including drawings and finish schedules.

• Update estimates and manage revisions or change orders as needed.

• Maintain estimating data using JobTread or comparable construction management software.

• Support scope development and project costing efforts.

• Collaborate remotely with project managers and company leadership based in the U.S.

• Generate accurate and well-structured estimates.

• Communicate effectively and consistently with the team.

• Deliver work that is free of errors and scope gaps.

• Continuously enhance estimating processes and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, or preconstruction processes.

• Familiarity with software such as JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar platforms.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and exceptional organizational abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• High attention to detail with a proven track record of follow-through.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home office setup.

• Availability to overlap several hours with U.S. business hours.

• Experience in residential remodeling or custom home construction is preferred.

• Background in luxury residential or high-end remodeling is preferred.

• Prior experience in managing change orders is preferred.

• Experience in material procurement or purchasing support is preferred.

• Project coordination or Assistant Project Manager experience is preferred.

• Previous remote work experience for a U.S.-based construction company is preferred.
