Resident On-Site AGV Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the vehicle project team to implement, configure, and assess new AGV environments in healthcare facilities.

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and provide on-call maintenance for AGV fleets.

• Identify and rectify vehicle and system-related issues.

• Support upgrades and retrofits that necessitate vehicle modifications.

• Assist with repairs of AGV components when required.

• Oversee and manage the on-site inventory of parts and parts orders.

• Offer AGV systems operational support for new or modified systems and startups.

• Troubleshoot and resolve AGV system challenges alongside the full-time On-site Senior Technician.

• Collaborate with Customer AGV Leads on training, troubleshooting, and meetings.

• Provide on-call assistance for critical business-impacting outages.

• Keep abreast of JBT Automated Systems designs, features, and equipment.

• Modify software and hardware in installed systems to meet client requirements.

• Document system changes for permanent records at the JBT home office.

• Independently manage daily responsibilities and report locally to the customer representative/system owner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.S.) in Electronics Technology or a comparable qualification from a two-year college or technical institution.

• Three to five years of relevant experience.

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of AGV product lines.

• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic and repair tools, including multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, and basic electronics hand-tools.

• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

• Skill in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from managers, customers, and employees.

• Competence in solving practical problems with limited standardization.

• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SQL, and Syteline or a similar MRP business system.

• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and accommodate frequent schedule adjustments.
