
Research Project Manager, Health, Behavior and Society

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee the administrative and scientific execution of one or more complex research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI).
• Collaborate with faculty members, investigators, partners, and funding agencies.
• Create project plans, protocols, study designs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data collection forms, manuals, questionnaires, and coding frameworks.
• Supervise research data management, data collection, validation, and ensure quality control of study data.
• Develop and manage study budgets and address finance-related matters.
• Facilitate study meetings, review data, identify next steps, and implement changes to protocol operations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to presentations, manuscript preparation, paper writing, literature reviews, and technical documents.
• Recruit, supervise, and manage exempt-level research personnel.
• Assist with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Prepare the project closeout report.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and additional project meetings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Five years of pertinent research experience.
• Proven experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Additional education may be accepted as a substitute for the required experience per the JHU equivalency formula.
• Expertise in women’s health and nutrition, particularly in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).
• Proficient in advanced budget management.
• Strong skills in data management and analysis.
• Advanced skills in finance project management.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional project management capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Superior report writing proficiency.
• Advanced skills in ensuring data quality assurance.
• Strong research design capabilities.
• Advanced strategic thinking skills.
