This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
• Collaborate with a nationwide team of librarians to deliver comprehensive and advanced research, current awareness, and knowledge management services for colleagues across all firm locations.
• Share best practices with attorneys and professional staff regarding the intelligent and cost-effective utilization of research resources.
• Cultivate expertise in a diverse range of legal, business, and practice-related resources.
• Develop proficiency in AI tools to enhance research capabilities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows and documentation.
• Engage with attorneys and professional staff to promote a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Participate in local and national professional development initiatives.
• Assist with various administrative tasks and projects as required.
• Minimum of 3 years of legal reference and research experience, ideally in a law or corporate library setting.
• Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or Juris Doctor (JD).
• Proven proficiency with leading legal and business research platforms, public records resources, competitive intelligence tools, and state and federal legal information sources.
• Familiarity with law, agencies, and information resources in California or any state where the firm operates.
• Understanding of emerging research and knowledge-sharing technologies, including AI and collaboration software, along with knowledge management principles.
• Exceptional customer service abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to communicate professionally with attorneys and professional staff in time-sensitive situations.
• High level of sensitivity to confidential matters.
• Outstanding collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with team members across various offices and time zones.
• Capability to work successfully with commercial vendors.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
