Research Engineer – Post-Training

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify areas where models are lacking and establish improvement targets.

• Create evaluations to demonstrate model enhancements and the reasons behind them.

• Curate, generate data, and optimize models effectively.

• Develop functional systems rapidly and deploy them into production.

• Translate ambiguous customer challenges into precise metrics.

• Leverage fine-tuning, new data, and external models to address customer issues.

• Take full ownership of customer challenges until they show measurable improvements in production.

• Assess when results are ready for customer delivery.

• Extend models to support new languages and regions.

• Enhance text-to-speech pronunciation for names, terms, and numbers.

• Separate speakers' voices from background noise and crosstalk effectively.

• Provide customers with early access to new voice functionalities and utilize their feedback to refine research methodologies.

• Release updated benchmarks for Voice AI applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in training, fine-tuning, and assessing deep learning models.

• Proficient in Python and PyTorch.

• Proven history of deploying ML solutions to production.

• Capability to manage problems from start to finish and understand necessary requirements.

• Sound judgment regarding significant problems and the readiness of results for deployment.

• Experience with speech-to-text, text-to-speech, or voice agents is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with distributed training is a considerable plus.

• Published research, open source contributions, or public benchmarks are strong indicators of a candidate's qualifications.

• Comfortable with actively utilizing and experimenting with advanced AI tools.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
