Research Associate, Quantitative Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and choose appropriate research methodologies for designated research projects.

• Create and implement surveys and quantitative data collection tools.

• Utilize correlational and quasi-experimental research designs.

• Perform regression analysis, multilevel modeling, and other applied statistical evaluations.

• Collect, clean, organize, code, and analyze quantitative data effectively.

• Employ qualitative and mixed-method approaches as necessary.

• Write and deliver research reports, statistical findings, and research summaries.

• Monitor research tasks, timelines, data management protocols, and documentation.

• Offer constructive feedback and informal mentoring to members of the project team.

• Maintain regular communication with clients and present findings directly to them.

• Facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data gathering activities as required.

• Organize and lead meetings, webinars, and workshops for educational partners.

• Collaborate with Finance, Communications, Instructional Design, and various internal teams.

• Contribute to articles, presentations, thematic summaries, and dissemination efforts.

• Foster relationships with K-12 practitioners, nonprofit organizations, and researchers.

• Participate in proposal development and oversee business development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in education, economics, statistics, or a related field in quantitative social sciences.

• 1 to 3 years of relevant research experience is required.

• Strong background in quantitative research design and statistical analysis is essential.

• Experience with regression analysis, multilevel modeling, or quasi-experimental designs is preferred.

• Familiarity with statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, R, and/or NVivo.

• Knowledge of Qualtrics for survey administration is expected.

• Understanding of Tableau for data visualization is advantageous.

• Experience in survey design and development of data collection instruments is necessary.

• A focus on content areas such as ELA and math outcomes, academic transitions, and/or postsecondary outcomes is highly preferred.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently establish methodologies.

• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective time management are crucial.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Capability to draft research reports and clearly present statistical results.

• Ability to collaborate with teams and engage with external clients and partners.

• Skill in anticipating challenges and devising solutions is necessary.

• A commitment to educational equity for historically underserved communities is essential.

• Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check and education verification is mandatory.
