This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Initiate pilot programs, draft grant applications, oversee grant deliverables, and conduct program evaluations for various early childhood education research projects and funding.
• Facilitate efficient program design, execution of project deliverables, and the evaluation methods employed to assess outcomes.
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative research program evaluation protocols and analyses.
• Collaborate on several child and family services programs, encompassing maternal and child health and mental health initiatives.
• Assist faculty in preparing grant and contract applications, which include work plans, budgets, resource assessments, and evaluation strategies.
• Implement awarded grants and contracts in accordance with established protocols and project objectives.
• Develop project timelines, content development strategies, and processes for executing deliverables.
• Prepare grant reports for funders using outcomes data, technical writing, narrative descriptions, and data visualization techniques.
• Ensure adherence to UAMS division policies and procedures.
• Provide support to staff through resources, mentoring, and training.
• Act as a representative of research faculty with state and community partners.
• Cultivate relationships with partner organizations to achieve and manage deliverables.
• Conduct community-based training sessions across Arkansas and engage in outreach within designated counties to meet participant recruitment targets.
• Advocate for the Division of Research and Evaluation to stakeholder groups.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field, along with six (6) years of research-related experience in early childhood education policy, educator training, community research, child development research, early childhood education programs, or a related field.
• Education may substitute for some years of experience.
• Valid Arkansas Driver’s License and willingness to travel within Arkansas and beyond for training sessions and project meetings as required.
• Experience in research outcomes evaluation, early childhood education, or social sciences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a social science or related field.
• Preferred: Certificate of advanced training in evaluation and data management for research purposes.
• Preferred: Experience with early childhood policy, data outcomes evaluation, community engagement, qualitative data analysis, and statistical methods.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, database management, research data collection, survey design, SPSS, SQL, SAS, NVivo, or other evaluation software.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including Motor Vehicle Reports Check and relevant criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification.
