This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Perform swift and thorough literature reviews focusing on perinatal mental health and related subjects.
• Identify, assess, and synthesize peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical guidelines.
• Create evidence summaries and research briefs for the PSI team and leadership.
• Keep well-organized records of literature searches, citations, and source materials.
• Gather accurate and current statistics for use in communications, educational materials, fundraising, advocacy, and program development.
• Confirm research findings, prevalence rates, and commonly referenced statistics prior to distribution.
• Assist in the upkeep of PSI's internal research repository and evidence resources.
• Convert scientific findings into straightforward language that is accessible to healthcare professionals, policymakers, donors, volunteers, and families.
• Compose research-driven summaries, talking points, FAQs, fact sheets, and evidence briefs.
• Contribute to research-informed content for newsletters, social media, educational programs, presentations, and public-facing materials.
• Participate in online staff and board meetings upon request.
• Report directly to the Director of Research & Impact.
• Submit monthly invoices to the Director of Research & Impact.
• Capability to conduct swift and thorough literature reviews on perinatal mental health and related subjects in accordance with the Research & Citation Policy.
• Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and summarizing peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical guidelines.
• Skill in developing evidence summaries and research briefs.
• Ability to maintain organized records of literature searches, citations, and source materials.
• Competence in identifying accurate and current statistics and verifying research findings, prevalence estimates, and commonly referenced statistics.
• Aptitude for translating scientific findings into clear, accessible language for various audiences.
• Experience in drafting research-driven summaries, talking points, FAQs, fact sheets, and evidence briefs.
• Ability to support research-informed content for newsletters, social media, educational programs, presentations, and public-facing materials.
• Flexible availability averaging 10–15 hours per week, not to exceed 20 hours per week unless previously agreed upon.
• Capacity to work independently and utilize personal equipment and facilities.
