Reporting – Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist CMS by ensuring the enterprise AI platform is thoroughly documented and that data governance is clearly defined.

• Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation designed for the intended audience.

• Develop and format periodic reports that detail platform activities and data governance efforts.

• Adhere to Section 508 and plain-language guidelines.

• Structure documentation and reports to ensure they serve as a dependable source of information.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree along with 2+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or reporting.

• Exceptional writing and editing capabilities; must be clear, concise, and well-organized.

• Proficiency with documentation and reporting tools such as Confluence and Word.

• Strong attention to detail and a talent for simplifying complex information.

• Experience with 508-compliant documentation or federal reporting is a plus.

• Familiarity with data governance or technical/AI topics would be advantageous.

• Prior experience supporting CMS or another federal agency is beneficial.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Acceptable background investigation results.
