Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop technical documentation for the loading functionality within the Ocient System.

• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather documentation requirements.

• Oversee writing schedules, review processes, and interactions with SMEs.

• Produce high-quality documentation within established timelines.

• Identify potential issues and proactively address them.

• Provide stakeholders with updates regarding progress, processes, delays, and any issues.

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure clear communication of documentation needs.

• Facilitate the effective creation and delivery of documentation.

• Create written content for the OcientAIQ Unified Data Platform, specifically targeting data loading into the Ocient System.

⛳️ Requirements

• Remote position (US Only).

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States; Ocient is unable to sponsor or transfer any visas, including OPT, EAD, H1B, and H4.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, along with 6+ years of experience in the software industry.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing.

• Background in writing about technical subjects related to databases or data warehouses.

• User-focused approach to writing.

• Proactive mindset and commitment to timely completion of tasks.

• Team-oriented self-starter with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to collaborate with a variety of technical SMEs and leverage diverse skill sets.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities and multitasking skills.

• Capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellence in AI-related technical writing, agentic workflows, SQL, Markdown, docs-as-code, and the creation of technical diagrams is a key qualification for candidates.
