Release Train Engineer / Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate PI Planning, system demonstrations, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.

• Maintain iteration and Program Increment (PI) calendars.

• Provide coaching to Scrum Masters.

• Manage risks and dependencies across teams.

• Keep ServiceNow release calendar entries updated.

• Collaborate with VA Release Agents.

• Compile release packages, which include test results, scans, and documentation.

• Oversee go-lives and post-release closure activities.

• Report release and flow metrics to the Program Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• RTE: Over 7 years of Agile delivery experience, with at least 3 years as RTE or in a similar role (Senior / Level III).

• Release Manager: More than 5 years in software release management.

• Proven experience in managing PI Planning or release calendars for federal programs.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow release and change management processes.

• Familiarity with the VA DevSecOps Release Process and VA Release Agents.

• Proficient in utilizing Jira dashboards and flow metrics.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Must possess SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Release Manager, or an equivalent certification.

• ITIL 4 Foundation certification is necessary.

• SAFe ScrumMaster (SSM), SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster (SASM), or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) certifications are preferred.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential is required.
