Release Train Engineer – Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate PI Planning sessions, system demonstrations, and Inspect & Adapt activities.

• Maintain the iteration and PI calendars.

• Provide coaching to Scrum Masters.

• Manage risks and dependencies across teams.

• Keep ServiceNow release calendar entries up to date.

• Collaborate with VA Release Agents.

• Compile release packages, which include test results, scans, and documentation.

• Oversee go-live events and post-release closure activities.

• Report on release and flow metrics to the Program Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• RTE: 7+ years of experience in Agile delivery, with a minimum of 3 years as RTE or in an equivalent role (Senior / Level III).

• Release Manager: 5+ years in software release management.

• Proven experience in running PI Planning or managing release calendars within a federal program.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow release and change management processes.

• Knowledge of the VA DevSecOps Release Process and VA Release Agents.

• Experience utilizing Jira dashboards and flow metrics.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Release Manager, or equivalent certification.

• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Ability to secure a VA PIV credential.

• SAFe ScrumMaster (SSM), SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster (SASM), or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) preferred.
