This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the complete release process for Phantom’s iOS and Android applications.
• Oversee release schedules, branches, versioning, build promotions, and submissions to app stores.
• Ensure readiness for releases by coordinating with engineering, QA, product, and other stakeholders.
• Lead the go/no-go decision-making process while clearly communicating risks, blockers, and any outstanding issues.
• Manage TestFlight, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, along with staged or phased rollouts.
• Coordinate hotfixes, emergency releases, and rollback plans as necessary.
• Monitor the health of releases, including tracking crashes, regressions, rollout status, and any user-impacting issues.
• Troubleshoot issues related to builds, signing, submissions, and deployments.
• Enhance and automate repetitive release tasks utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Bash, or Python.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation, checklists, runbooks, and status reports.
• Ensure compliance of releases with Apple and Google policies and submission requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the reliability and reproducibility of mobile builds.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in release engineering, mobile DevOps, build engineering, or a related field.
• Direct experience in releasing production iOS and Android applications.
• In-depth knowledge of App Store Connect, TestFlight, Google Play Console, mobile signing, provisioning, and certificates.
• Experience working with mobile CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI, Buildkite, or similar tools.
• Proficient in managing release branches, versioning, hotfixes, and phased rollouts.
• Skilled at troubleshooting mobile build and deployment challenges.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation techniques.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across functions.
• Capable of staying composed and making clear decisions during time-sensitive releases or incidents.
