This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conduct intricate analyses for a broad spectrum of actuarial functions related to reinsurance pricing and evaluation.
• Develop sophisticated models and projections to assist the business in establishing effective pricing and suitable risk-adjusted returns on capital.
• Create forecasts and models specifically for reinsurance purposes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to partners across the organization.
• Offer recommendations regarding the formulation or effectiveness of various strategies.
• Build strong relationships with key partners and deliver insights and solutions to tackle specific business challenges.
• Investigate innovative concepts, statistical models, and data sources to provide effective solutions for the business.
• May engage in all facets of pricing, oversee the ongoing process, facilitate the pricing strategy, and assist in developing pricing for new products and rating structures.
• Keep track of industry and competitor trends to assess their potential effects on actuarial strategies and solutions.
• Evaluate the profitability of accepted property & casualty treaty reinsurance opportunities.
• Maintain a portfolio analytics framework, ensuring consistent analytical standards for the assessment of assumed reinsurance opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented work environment by encouraging trust, transparency, and inclusion.
• Work in collaboration with Underwriting and the Pricing & Analytics team to assist with submissions and prospective deals.
• Associate or Fellow designation in the Casualty Actuary Society (ACAS or FCAS).
• Previous experience in reinsurance is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing accepted reinsurance treaties.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of property and casualty products, pricing, rates, and industry trends.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the global reinsurance industry and its markets.
• Proven experience with Excel, SQL, Python, and basic programming skills.
• Strong knowledge of catastrophe models.
• Extensive understanding of advanced financial and statistical analysis techniques, including actuarial methods.
