Reimbursement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Monitor, evaluate, and report on trends and developments related to providers, payors, and legislation.

• Oversee daily reimbursement activities to accomplish key business objectives.

• Sustain current reimbursement services while creating new offerings.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Ossur’s Chronic Solutions Business Area to establish new reimbursement services and training for targeted clients.

• Enhance customer awareness of the company as a source of industry-leading reimbursement resources.

• Offer external clients assistance with reimbursement inquiries regarding Ossur products.

• Create reimbursement materials related to company products for customers.

• Evaluate and implement reimbursement programs, resources, and services to support clients.

• Aid clients in securing authorization and preparing appeals.

• Inform Sales & Marketing teams about changes in payor policies that impact customer access to products.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product management on reimbursement matters and submissions to government contractors like PDAC.

• Participate in DME MAC Advisory Council meetings.

• Attend educational meetings held by DME MAC.

• Ensure compliance with the company’s quality, safety, training, and values standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device reimbursement, market access, reimbursement policy, healthcare provider, and/or healthcare payer.

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).

• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of private, federal, and state healthcare coverage.

• Previous experience with O&P facilities and/or physician practices is preferred.

• Competence in reviewing medical records and assessing their compliance with payor coverage requirements.

• Proven ability to collaborate across various departments within a large organization.

• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to seek guidance when necessary.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both group settings and one-on-one interactions.

• Required strong analytical skills.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel: 20%.
