This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Execute both routine and specialized tasks associated with pharmacy technician duties.
• Manage multiple software applications and programs simultaneously.
• Handle several telecommunication lines effectively.
• Utilize Microsoft programs proficiently.
• Engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Accurately and professionally document information.
• Use, pronounce, and spell common medical and pharmacy terminology.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the immediate supervisor and/or manager.
• Operate under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
• Patient counseling is not part of this role.
• Enter and verify pharmacy insurance information and benefits.
• Provide assistance to patients, staff, insurance representatives, pharmaceutical representatives, vendors, and employees.
• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and internal pharmacy communications.
• Collaborate with pharmacy teams to expedite services.
• Document and promote therapy adherence under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain medication information, investigate prescription barriers, report order updates, and schedule orders for delivery or pickup.
• Process prescriptions for qualified patients and bill benefit plans accordingly.
• Address insurance billing issues and communicate potential delays.
• Assist the Revenue Manager with daily financial operations.
• Actively participate in the audit team.
• Dispense oral oncology medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.
• Accurately count and fill prescriptions; order and stock supplies; package and ship oral oncology medications.
• Must be a resident of Florida.
• Required to hold an active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of residence (FL RPT).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is mandatory.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy is essential.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, planning, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to exercise independent judgment.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation capabilities, and awareness of diversity.
• Competence in handling sensitive and confidential materials and emotionally charged situations.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills; active listening and balanced feedback.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize conflicting demands, handle stress, and pursue professional development.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work remotely effectively as required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment while managing competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is preferred.
• Successful completion of background, drug, and nicotine screenings is required.
• New hires must receive necessary vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an exemption is approved.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm.
