Registered Nurse – Quality Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews of all OASIS assessments to ensure they are appropriate, complete, and comply with federal and state regulations as well as Seaport Scripps Home Health standards.

• Leverage OASIS variation or alert reports during the assessment of OASIS data.

• Guarantee accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing for patients' medical conditions and co-morbidities.

• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve data integrity concerns and facilitate necessary corrections.

• Assess visit utilization to ensure adherence to care guidelines and patient conditions.

• Inform the Clinical Supervisor or designated personnel about potential financial losses and cases of underutilization.

• Alert leadership to concerning trends identified through the OASIS review process.

• Partner with managers to tackle trends that impact agency outcomes and procedural metrics.

• Execute OASIS inter-rater reliability visits in collaboration with clinical staff.

• Engage in Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance initiatives.

• Support chart audit activities.

• Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops and relevant publications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active CA Registered Nurse License.

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical home health experience is required.

• Familiarity with OASIS and ICD-10 coding is essential.

• OASIS certification (COS-C) is preferred.

• OASIS Home Health ICD-10 coding certification is also preferred.

• Understanding of federal regulations and state licensure requirements is necessary.
