This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct continuous monitoring of adult and pediatric patients utilizing closed-circuit and digital audio/visual equipment along with electrophysiological recording instruments.

• Present patient histories, EEG and video data, and radiological studies during daily rounds for the medical staff.

• Detail the current seizures and their frequency.

• Provide a list of current medications and the outcomes of previous investigations.

• Summarize the examination conducted upon admission to the monitoring units.

• Analyze, categorize, and interpret ictal and interictal EEG/video data.

• Compose final reports with comprehensive descriptions of EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiological findings, mapping of ictal and interictal abnormalities, and the selection of representative EEG samples.

• Act as a mentor for new staff members being trained to conduct testing and provide care for long-term monitoring patients.

• Work the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift every third weekend.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

• At least two years of recent technical experience in epilepsy long-term monitoring, routine EEG lab experience with exposure to long-term monitoring on bedside systems, or a combination of relevant experiences.

• Technical/computer experience is preferred.

• Manual dexterity to accurately place electrodes and operate recording equipment.

• Capability to assist with patient positioning and transportation, including pushing beds, carts, and wheelchairs.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

• Must adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Must comply with the annual influenza vaccination program or obtain an approved exemption.
