Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient services through Brave Health's telehealth program.

• Offer compassionate, high-quality mental health care to patients of all ages.

• Provide services to patients insured by commercial health plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.

• Perform psychotherapy and thorough assessments.

• Diagnose and treat mental health and/or substance use disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create treatment plans aimed at achieving their objectives.

• Utilize telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools throughout the workday.

• Maintain approximately 30 client care hours weekly, averaging six clients daily.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure.

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• A work-from-home environment that ensures privacy for patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

• Proficiency in English.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Skills in treatment planning.

• Comfort with telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools.

• Experience in collaborating with clients to meet their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Availability for a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday.

• Capability to complete 30 client care hours weekly.

• Experience working with patients facing substance abuse and addiction disorders.

• Experience with patients suffering from chronic severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Full-time, one-on-one psychotherapy experience, defined as 20 or more client-facing hours per week.
