This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families at designated military installations.
• Offer individualized counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, or staff members.
• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and Personal Financial Management workshops.
• Aid service members in creating spending plans for prolonged absences.
• Create and disseminate informative financial materials.
• Organize and promote financial management classes throughout the military lifecycle, including upon arrival at the first duty station and during pre- and post-deployment phases.
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling, secure online chat, web-based tools, video communications, and secure video teleconferencing when permitted.
• Handle duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Engage with leadership and participate in both individual and group supervision.
• Provide insights regarding installation trends and issues.
• Partake in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other designated contract activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma with 6 years of experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is necessary.
• Must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is essential: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
• Competence in utilizing virtual counseling and electronic communication methods is essential.
