Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive virtual prenatal genetic counseling services for Maternal-Fetal Medicine practices, catering to a diverse range of patients.

• Facilitate a results reporting program for various clients by utilizing an innovative approach to convey genetic results to patients.

• Provide direct patient care addressing a wide array of complex cases sourced from a broad referral network.

• Engage in opportunities for professional growth, such as authoring abstracts, publications, physician education, and other initiatives.

• Take part in educational and research projects within Labcorp.

• Collaborate with a nationwide network of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, along with over 100 counseling colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling is required.

• Certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or Active Candidate Status for ABGC is necessary.

• Multi-State Genetic Counselor licensure or the capability to obtain it is required.

• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling following the completion of a Master's Degree.

• Preferred: Active certification from ABGC.

• Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.

• Exceptional multi-tasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
