This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Deliver perinatal nutrition and lactation support throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.
• Conduct individual and group dietitian and lactation consultations via video, phone, and app.
• Oversee nutritional care for the pregnancy and postpartum phases, including management of gestational diabetes as well as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes during pregnancy.
• Facilitate and instruct group sessions for lactation support and education.
• Develop breastfeeding and chestfeeding guidelines along with safety protocols tailored for a telemedicine platform.
• Establish and uphold nutrition and lactation guidelines and safety measures for virtual healthcare delivery.
• Revise protocols and procedures as necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of care.
• Generate app-based resources for patients to assist in their learning and success.
• Acquire additional state dietitian licenses over time to assist patients as Delfina expands into new regions.
• As the dietitian team expands, provide support and mentorship to other Registered Dietitians and Lactation Consultants within Delfina Medical Group.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) holding at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
• Licensed to practice as a dietitian in a minimum of three of the following states: Maryland, Nevada, Illinois, Texas.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in providing pregnancy-related nutrition care, including the management of gestational diabetes and Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
• Certification as a CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) or the clinical experience to qualify for CDCES eligibility (Preferred).
• At least one year of experience as an IBCLC in a prenatal and postpartum context.
• Prior experience in delivering virtual patient care.
