This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of an annual sales target for your designated territory by managing existing advisor relationships and identifying new retirement plan prospects within broker-dealers and RIAs.
• Propel territory growth through proactive prospecting, enhancing engagement with key firms, and maintaining regular advisor interactions through both in-person and virtual meetings.
• Provide consultative education on products, guidance on plan design, insights on competition, and support for sales enablement to advisors.
• Work closely with a senior Regional Vice President on advisor assignments, setting daily and weekly priorities, monitoring pipeline activities, and strategizing for the territory.
• Engage in important advisor meetings, finalist presentations, and interactions with centers of influence.
• Implement regional campaigns and distribution strategies to optimize production within the territory.
• Ensure accurate and disciplined maintenance of CRM activities, sales pipeline information, and territory metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams (plan design, implementation, case management, marketing) to provide a seamless experience for advisors.
• Monitor competitive intelligence, advisor trends, and emerging business opportunities.
• Represent the organization at conferences, study groups, and advisor events to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
• Assist with business retention initiatives when necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5+ years of experience in advisor-facing distribution sales roles.
• Proven sales skills with a strong capability in prospecting, building relationships, and effective communication.
• Highly motivated and coachable, with the ability to excel in a goal-driven, high-performance sales setting.
• Comfortable taking ownership of sales goals while participating in a joint-coverage, team-oriented model.
• Excellent organizational skills, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong interest in advancing to a full Regional Vice President role.
• Experience in retirement plans or retirement-focused distribution is preferred.
• Capability to transfer or obtain a Series 6 or Series 7, and Series 63 licenses within 3–6 months of hire, along with a life insurance license.
