📋 Description

• Formulate comprehensive strategies aimed at expanding market share and fostering customer partnerships, contributing to the achievement of both individual and team revenue objectives.

• Collaborate closely with team members to create territory plans that cultivate diversified and meaningful pipelines, as well as to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

• Develop sales compensation structures, quotas, and territory plans that align with company revenue goals, incorporating elements that incentivize and retain high-performing, high-growth team members.

• Supervise the team with clearly defined monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations; ensure a balanced approach to prospecting, planning, presenting, negotiating, and closing to ultimately meet revenue targets.

• Collaborate with the Chief Revenue Officer to enhance performance management and coaching programs, ensuring that all team members consistently improve their solution selling skills and activities that drive reliable, repeatable results.

• Utilize checkpoints and data to monitor progress, establish systems and processes to measure outcomes (e.g., regular meetings), and hold direct reports accountable.

• Exhibit strong, clear communication and leadership by engaging and motivating the sales team effectively.

• Implement a clear, consistent, and transparent Sales operating rhythm, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Territory Reviews, Pipeline Reviews, Deal Reviews, and Forecast sessions.

• Leverage data and analytics to guide all strategic and operational decisions.

• Ensure relevant reporting and communication are consistently accurate and accessible to key stakeholders.

• Engage in meetings to identify new opportunities, conduct consultative discussions, and close business with top-tier customers, working in collaboration with regional sales leadership and Account Executives.

• Comprehend and communicate all major open and closed opportunities across regions.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with cross-functional leaders across Scholastic, including Operations, Marketing, Product Development, Regional Marketing, Inside Sales, and more.

• Maintain the highest level of expertise in literacy instruction, Scholastic solutions, and key market trends.

• Ensure the adoption of Salesforce, sales tools, and best practices across the regional team.

• Advocate for innovation and the adoption of technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and visibility.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Management, Marketing, or Business is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in the PK-12 literacy sector; at least 15 years of experience selling to key PK-12 districts and major accounts.

• Willingness to maintain a travel schedule of 85%.

• Proficient in Salesforce.com, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office.

• Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Over 10 years of experience in actively selling and managing a team, with a minimum of 5 years leading distributed field sales organizations.

• Sales responsibilities amounting to at least $75 million in revenue.

• Demonstrated history of achieving quarterly and annual sales and profitability objectives.

• Preference given to candidates with established relationships.

• Profound understanding of relationship-based sales and pipeline management.

• A proven record of increasing penetration and wallet share within existing accounts, as well as driving new logo adoption.

• Solutions-oriented and metrics-driven; evaluates own accomplishments based on specific, measurable results and KPIs.

• Inspirational leadership and team-building abilities.

• Capability to balance cultural evolution with operational execution.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
