This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the financial performance of the designated region.
• Develop, manage, and surpass the annual new business production plan through ongoing visibility and the cultivation of meaningful relationships.
• Create, manage, and exceed a direct written premium plan.
• Responsible for achieving or surpassing profitability in collaboration with Underwriting partners.
• Formulate and execute an annual regional sales plan in partnership with Underwriting.
• Strive to position Convelo as a primary partner for our core program offerings.
• Develop annual business plans with selected agencies/brokers and hold them accountable through various metrics.
• Tailor distribution support based on assessments of agencies.
• Take ownership and set a standard for the organization in all communications, demonstrating high ethical integrity.
• Acquire and share exceptional knowledge of Convelo’s products and appetite, while also showcasing a strong understanding of competitors’ offerings.
• Schedule and conduct agency visits with distribution partners to drive production and profitability outcomes.
• Collaborate with Underwriting on the development of account pipelines.
• Conduct regular territory reviews with Underwriting, focusing on new business, renewal business, and profitability performance against the plan.
• Assist in the development and comprehension of competitors' products and pricing strategies.
• Develop and adhere to the annual regional budget.
• Build a team of Regional Sales Managers and/or Marketing Representatives to operate within the territory.
• Mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, development, and professional growth.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or a related field.
• Professional designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM) are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, demonstrating expertise in various sales and insurance concepts, practices, and procedures.
• At least 5 years of experience in territory or region management.
• Prior underwriting experience is preferred.
• Experience in E&S is a plus.
