This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +6 more states.
• Oversees and cultivates a regional sales team, comprising account executives, field service representatives, product specialists, inside sales personnel, and distributor partners, to meet revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
• The RVP, North is responsible for achieving results through effective performance management, coaching, and the ongoing development of both individual and team capabilities.
• Collaborates with independent sales agents who represent the company within the region, managing their efforts across designated territories and key accounts to ensure consistent performance and market reach.
• Formulates and suggests action programs that align with strategic and tactical sales development initiatives.
• Works closely with local Econolite business units to guarantee clear communication and execution of action plans that correspond to regional market opportunities.
• Utilizes strong financial and business acumen to ensure that regional operations stay within approved budgetary limits.
• Evaluates market trends and competitor actions to discover new business opportunities.
• Partners with Marketing to create and implement targeted campaigns and promotions that stimulate demand for Company products and services.
• Collaborates with Product Management to pinpoint opportunities for revenue growth and expansion into adjacent markets.
• Maintains a strong presence in the market by representing Econolite at relevant industry associations, conferences, and customer-facing events.
• Prepares and delivers regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Manages channel partner relationships across the Northern region, acting as the primary liaison between Econolite and assigned partners.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution, ideally in transportation, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• 7–10+ years of pertinent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven history of consistently meeting and surpassing sales targets in competitive markets.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and developing teams of 20–25+ sales professionals, including account executives, sales support staff, and field service representatives.
• Ability to integrate complex deal structures and organize them to maximize revenue, margins, and profitability.
• Experience in selling transportation and infrastructure solutions such as traffic controllers, cabinets, signals, systems, conduit, poles, and signage; familiarity with government sales and CRM tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting is advantageous.
• Proficiency in pipeline management and forecasting sales and shipments in both short-term and long-term scenarios.
• Capability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.
