Regional SAP Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Implement and enhance the Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Execution template across new divisions and locations.

• Ensure compliance with automotive supply chain standards, including batch traceability and the management of expendable and returnable packaging.

• Work closely with plant leadership to align operational processes with the S/4HANA framework.

• Facilitate change management by converting technical solutions into understandable business implications.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, finance, and sales teams to maintain consistency in end-to-end processes.

• Manage the SAP MM/IM/EWM process template through ongoing rollouts and enhancements.

• Conduct fit-to-template workshops and identify genuine process discrepancies.

• Suggest Stock Room Management, Basic EWM, or Advanced EWM solutions based on site complexity and licensing costs.

• Design EWM warehouse structures and processes, covering receiving, putaway, picking, production supply staging, outbound shipping, and RF/mobile execution.

• Oversee template variations and prioritize enhancements based on lessons learned from rollouts.

• Coordinate data preparation and validation efforts.

• Lead user acceptance testing and assist in the creation of test scripts.

• Plan and execute the MM/IM/EWM cutover, including the transition of inventory, physical inventory, and the migration of outstanding purchasing documents.

• Train key users and provide functional support post-go-live.

• Direct rollouts, collaborate with external consultants, and communicate the status, risks, and progress to project leadership.

• Mentor key users and local support teams.

• Deliver second-level support for MM/IM/EWM issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of direct experience with SAP MM/WM.

• A minimum of 1–2 complete SAP S/4HANA implementations within the automotive supplier sector.

• Profound knowledge in MM, IM, and EWM, with a preference for embedded EWM in S/4HANA.

• Strong comprehension of automotive supplier operations.

• Experience in purchasing, inventory movements and valuation, physical inventory/cycle counting, warehouse structure design, handling units, and RF/mobile execution.

• Proven track record in SAP transformation initiatives, including fit-to-standard/blueprint, configuration, data migration, testing, cutover, user training, and go-live activities.

• Readiness to travel up to 50%, depending on project and support requirements.
