This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the sales budget for AHF wood (both solid and engineered) in designated regions, focusing on specific Specialty wood flooring wholesalers and contractors catering to both unfinished and prefinished sales of SWF/EWF.

• Aid in forecasting and securing additional sales for AHF wood products.

• Propel profitable growth through Direct Wholesalers & Contractors for residential wood products.

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales management to develop and implement combined value propositions that meet sales forecasts for wood.

• Travel to build high-level relationships, deliver strategic presentations, and support the team in driving the wood business.

• Create and execute sales plans aligned with the wood Residential objectives, goals, strategies, and measures (OGSM).

• Work closely with the manager to ensure all areas are performing optimally.

• Collaborate with Retail Strategic Account teams to maximize sales across each segment.

• Ensure a balanced approach with Robbins' direct team and Distributor Sales Director to minimize channel conflict and enhance incremental wood sales to AHF.

• Partner with Product management to develop product collections, pricing strategies, and promotions that support the wood business.

• Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives in maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.

• Deliver sales presentations to key clients in collaboration with sales representatives.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with key customers for the sale of wood products.

• Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to meet business unit goals.

• Analyze market data to identify customer needs, pricing schedules, and discount rates.

• Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.

• Serve as a sales liaison to other departments within the wood business, including the Wood business team.

• Monitor and assess the activities and products of competitors, identifying SWOT factors and developing plans to address issues, problems, or opportunities.

• Achieve or surpass the sales plan while managing expenses within the budget.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in business, marketing, or a related field; or over 10 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Must be willing to travel 70% of the time.

• At least four years of sales experience in the floor covering industry; experience with solid hardwood flooring is preferred.

• Must possess the ability to effectively present to key decision-makers.

• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.

• Proven track record of successfully establishing and maintaining sales relationships with key decision-makers in retail, distribution, and other end-users, as well as specification influencers.

• Capability to meet requirements for monthly reporting, sales analysis, and program documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate programs effectively.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to achieve sales goals.

• Strong project management skills.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, and a commitment to consistently exceeding customer expectations.
