
Regional Sales Manager, Plant Sales – West Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement strategies for territory expansion in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico to meet sales, market share, and profitability goals.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with distributors, manufacturers' representatives, contractors, engineers, municipalities, utilities, and end users to enhance specification influence, project opportunities, and revenue growth.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable designated manufacturer representatives and distribution partners through business planning, performance evaluations, joint sales initiatives, training, and market development efforts.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize a strong pipeline for project and distributor conversion, employing disciplined CRM, forecasting, and opportunity management practices to meet growth targets.
• Discover new market opportunities, underrepresented regions, target accounts, and emerging industry trends, and formulate action plans to elevate MPI's market presence and brand visibility.
• Act as the voice of the customer and the market by offering insights into competitive activities, customer requirements, and industry trends while supporting new product, service, and business development initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, estimating, marketing, finance, customer service, and supply chain teams to enhance customer responsiveness, support strategic initiatives, and promote continuous improvement.
• Design and present product, application, and sales training programs for customers, distributors, manufacturers' representatives, and internal stakeholders.
• Proactively tackle customer challenges and coordinate the resolution of issues related to quality, production, scheduling, delivery, billing, and service performance.
• Represent McWane Plant & Industrial at customer meetings, project sites, industry events, trade associations, and channel partner interactions while exemplifying a high level of professionalism, ownership, and accountability.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in industrial, mechanical, waterworks, or related infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated capability to expand a territory through new customer acquisition, channel development, project influence, and market share growth.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic territory plans, managing complex sales opportunities, and consistently achieving growth objectives.
• Strong business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to effectively influence customers, channel partners, and cross-functional teams.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of accountability, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
• Experience with CRM systems, opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline development tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.
