
Regional Sales Manager – HPLC Chromatography

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create and implement a sales strategy aimed at enhancing revenue growth and profitability for Axcend’s Focus LC product line, which includes analytical instrumentation, consumables, and service products within the designated territory by promoting an innovative Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model that ensures a quick return on investment through savings on solvents and waste.
• Meet and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
• Identify, cultivate, and finalize key opportunities within the life science research sectors.
• Formulate, execute, and sustain account strategies and proposals to encourage incremental growth.
• Connect with key decision-makers to enhance relationships and discover new opportunities.
• Collaborate with global biopharma clients to meet sustainability objectives by deploying eco-friendly 'Green HPLC' solutions that minimize hazardous waste by 99%.
• Provide precise sales forecasts, weekly updates, and keep current detailed account records, including product information, market insights, applications, and sales cycles via the CRM system.
• Observe competitive activities and industry trends to develop competitive strategies.
• Capable of presenting and discussing technology, applications, benefits, and value propositions.
• Identify and execute strategies to fortify customer relationships using internal resources.
• Coordinate sales initiatives with the Field Application Scientist (FAS) and Service team for product demonstrations, sample analyses, and post-sales support.
• Ensure success for all customers and key accounts.
• Participate in trade shows, lunch & learns, user group meetings, and virtual events.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Over 2 years of experience in Life Science capital equipment sales (preferably HPLC/Mass Spec experience).
• Previous experience selling specifically in Biopharma, Drug Discovery, or PAT (Process Analytical Technology).
• Proven ability to effectively lead strategic collaborations with key stakeholders.
• Established network of industry contacts.
• Tenacious, sales-oriented, and goal-focused with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities.
• Self-driven, organized, and skilled in developing connections and building rapport at all levels.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and executing sales territory plans.
• Must reside within the territory and be able to travel roughly 50%, including overnight trips.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot/SFDC, or other related CRM sales tools.
