
Regional Sales Manager – Food & Beverage Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead, mentor, and assist Area Sales Managers and/or regional office staff to meet territory and account goals.
• Oversee strategic regional accounts to optimize profitable sales opportunities and enhance market penetration.
• Coordinate and manage order-related documentation and workflows to ensure accurate production and timely shipping that aligns with customer expectations.
• Prepare and submit price deviations as necessary, ensuring adherence to relevant competition laws and internal approvals.
• Relay changes in customer requirements (e.g., lead times, order quantities, product modifications) to internal teams and customers to facilitate proactive planning.
• Aid in receivables collection efforts and maintain precise logs for orders, inventory (when applicable), and delivery schedules.
• Generate sales forecasts by customer across Winpak product lines; manage sales expense budgets and ensure accurate and timely expense reporting.
• Track competitor activity and provide timely insights on market capabilities and developments; represent Winpak at trade shows and seminars as needed.
• Encourage teamwork and cross-functional collaboration while fulfilling responsibilities in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and Winpak policies.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of national account sales experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in packaging (technical and/or commercial) with an emphasis on strategic sales growth.
• Proven ability to expand business within large, complex customer organizations and establish strong customer partnerships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• A history of working towards KPIs and successfully achieving targets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel 50% or more is required.
