This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversees customer relationship management initiatives and seeks to establish new clients for Aerzen's blower and compressor solutions in pneumatic conveying, high vacuum, and various air & gas compression and conveyance sectors within the relevant region.
• Engages with end-user customers, engineering firms, and OEMs who specify or purchase our equipment, effectively influencing their purchasing criteria to incorporate Aerzen products.
• Identifies and develops new customers within the designated market/region.
• Discovers new applications for Aerzen products.
• Manages and nurtures relationships with existing customers, aiming to enhance and expand the company’s aftermarket business throughout the assigned territory.
• Efficiently manages relationships with key customer accounts, gaining insight into the dynamics within each account, the decision-makers involved, and their decision-making processes.
• Offers support to customers, OEMs, and engineering firms as necessary, including equipment selection, specification review, compliance with standards, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Prepares quotations and bid submissions, coordinating support for pre-bid meetings and follow-ups as needed.
• Creates and delivers professional presentations and organizes customer educational initiatives as required.
• Develops sales projections, forecasts, strategies, and reports as necessary, utilizing the CRM system as applicable.
• Assists in the creation and execution of marketing plans as needed and supports preparations for regional and national trade shows.
• Participates in and supports trade shows as required.
• Aids in order processing and effectively follows up with customers throughout the order execution process.
• Collaborates closely with the Project Sales Manager, Process Gas, on key projects involving blower and compressor solutions for both process gas and air.
• Works in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer to pinpoint upgrade and retrofit opportunities for Aerzen solutions in existing operations.
• Professionally interacts with Aerzen project management, engineering, production, and customer support teams to share insights regarding specific customers and orders.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or technical school.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the sale of industrial equipment or a related field is required.
• Direct experience with rotary screw compressors and positive displacement blowers is advantageous.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer skills: capable of creating, utilizing, navigating, and generating reports with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
• Basic ability to create, utilize, and retrieve project-related information from ERP systems, Product Configurator software, and CRM software.
• Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Must possess motivational skills and a strong sense of urgency to fulfill customer commitments promptly and exceed expectations.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time as required.
