
Regional Sales Manager – East

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Manages sales operations throughout the East Coast.
• Achieves the annual regional sales target and develops an action plan for territories that fall short of goals.
• Administers travel and expenses to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Compiles the regional annual forecast accurately and in a timely manner.
• Oversees and supports Sales Representatives, including monitoring key productivity metrics.
• Coordinates Sales Representative territories and ensures comprehensive regional coverage.
• Conducts customer visits and travels as needed, efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Represents ESPEC professionally to regional clients.
• Communicates relevant information to the GM of Customer Relations and the Inside Sales Team, including the Inside Sales Manager, Product Specialists, Application Engineers, and Sales Assistants.
• Maintains robust knowledge of products.
• Keeps an accurate customer database.
• Ensures the regional office and equipment are maintained to professional standards.
• Organizes and facilitates regional shows and exhibitions.
• Reviews and dispatches quotations for custom or customized products to customers or representatives.
• Works autonomously with minimal oversight.
• A two-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated sales experience with a proven track record of achieving goals.
• Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Able to effectively present information and address questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and production staff.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Competent in basic arithmetic operations; familiarity with business mathematics is essential.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute multi-step instructions.
• Capable of managing standardized situations with frequent variations.
• Mid-level computer proficiency is required, including experience with Microsoft Office, email, company databases, and ERP systems.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing; should be insurable under the company’s automobile insurance policy.
• Depending on the region covered, a valid passport may be required for international travel.
