This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +2 more states.
• Achieving sales targets for CADDY and GARDNER BENDER Commercial Electrical division by nurturing existing relationships and effectively acquiring new business, primarily through an extensive product range and serving as a project solution provider.
• Crafting a multi-year sales strategy and tactical plan to meet sales objectives by identifying and cultivating new customers, end users, key projects, and channel partners within the designated territory.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing third-party sales agent team across various geographies and channels, ensuring comprehension and acceptance of territory strategy, pricing, joint calls, and personal as well as business development.
• Establishing and nurturing robust relationships at all levels with key customers, distribution partners, and industry collaborators.
• Delivering product expertise through training and technical presentations, emphasizing our value proposition to key contractors, distributors, and engineers while providing on-site support.
• Assisting agents with opportunities and proposals (quotes) for CADDY and GARDNER BENDER, including but not limited to seismic protection and prefabrication solutions.
• Analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Pricing, and Operations to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with the broader objectives of nVent.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in outside sales.
• Ideally, over 5 years of experience in outside sales and/or territory sales management within the commercial or industrial electrical products sector.
• Experience managing third-party sales agencies is advantageous.
• Ability to work remotely from a home office in the sales region and travel approximately 60% of the time throughout the sales territory, including WA, OR, MT, Northern ID, Western WY, and AK, with overnight travel expected.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical customers, complemented by strong collaboration, critical thinking, and execution capabilities.
• A strong preference for technical sales and value-based selling abilities.
• Knowledge of commercial and electrical contractor sales.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
• Physically fit to navigate construction project sites and possess a valid driver’s license.
