This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is accountable for the comprehensive management, support, and guidance of Trelleborg Medical Solutions Sales Engineers (SE).
• The Sales Manager will plan, oversee, and evaluate the performance and activities of this team within the designated region.
• The RSM is tasked with ensuring that the SE effectively promotes and sells the Trelleborg Medical Solutions portfolio of solutions and services to meet sales and profit objectives.
• The RSM coordinates all regional sales initiatives, facilitates sales meetings, formulates sales and profit forecasts, and establishes relationships with key customers and prospective target accounts.
• Attract, hire, develop, coach, retain, and lead a professional and well-organized team of Sales Engineers.
• Direct, coordinate, and motivate a team of Sales Engineers to achieve sales and profit growth targets.
• Establish and nurture a positive, goal-oriented work environment.
• Coordinate all sales efforts within the region to enhance market share and boost overall profits as outlined in each SE's territory and account plans.
• Assist in the development of the Trelleborg Medical Solutions Business Plan for the region, including Continuous Improvement targets.
• Collaborate closely with the TMS segment team and Marketing Department to devise and implement Sales and Marketing Strategies.
• Conduct sales meetings.
• Develop Sales and Profit forecasts and budgets.
• Timely provide necessary business reporting documents.
• Participate in joint sales visits with SEs to mentor them on cultivating customer relationships, pursuing and qualifying new sales leads, enhancing Customer Satisfaction, and generating projects for Sales Growth.
• Complete over 10 sales visits per month, engaging a mix of new and existing accounts.
• Work in conjunction with the business development role to identify new emerging customers.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
• Experience in people management, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
• A minimum of a 4-year college degree (preferably in Business or Technical Engineering; an MBA is a plus).
• Strong technical aptitude is advantageous.
• Must possess mechanical inclination.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical prints is essential.
• Solid understanding of business sales and marketing practices.
• Knowledge of rubber/plastic products is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards is beneficial.
