This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• The Regional Sales Manager for Cannabis will oversee and direct sales operations throughout Western Canada.
• Formulate and execute regional sales strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
• Keep an eye on market trends and competitor actions to uncover opportunities and potential risks.
• Establish sales targets and priorities for the sales team to achieve and exceed.
• Recruit, train, and guide a team of sales representatives.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and offer feedback to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key clients and distributors.
• Respond to client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner.
• Hold regular client meetings to evaluate performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
• Analyze sales data to guide business decisions and adjust sales strategies as necessary.
• Ensure all activities adhere to provincial and federal regulations concerning the sale of cannabis products.
• Manage the regional sales budget and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
• Track expenses to ensure they remain within approved budgets.
• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record in sales management, ideally within the cannabis industry or a comparable field.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and leading a field sales team.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with cannabis products and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness and capability to travel as needed to meet clients and participate in industry-related events.
• Ability to pass a background check.
