This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Drive revenue within the territory through focused prospecting, cold outreach, email communication, and face-to-face meetings.
• Cultivate new business opportunities across biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors.
• Engage with key stakeholders to showcase services, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve quarterly and annual targets for the territory.
• Upsell additional services to current accounts, enhancing project scope and increasing account value.
• Act with urgency and influence both internal and external partners to achieve desired outcomes.
• Establish long-term relationships with researchers, principal investigators, and lab decision-makers.
• Broaden the customer base by providing responsive service and effective problem-solving support.
• Develop client partnerships that deliver measurable value over time.
• Represent HistoWiz at trade shows, scientific conferences, and other industry events.
• Identify new opportunities in the fields of biomedical research and pathology services.
• Analyze competitor offerings, pricing, and market positioning to inform sales strategy.
• Evaluate sales performance against strategies, quotas, and plans to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with marketing on promotional initiatives across print, digital, and direct channels.
• Ensure consistent brand representation across all customer interactions.
• Prepare sales reports detailing volume, pipeline, market trends, and growth opportunities.
• Work alongside marketing, operations, and lab teams to align service offerings, pricing, and delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers to define, negotiate, and finalize complex Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Support the company's objectives related to profitability, market share, and strategic growth.
• 5 to 10 years of sales experience in life sciences, preferably in histology or pathology services.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or marketing.
• Demonstrated success in field-based sales with a history of regular travel to client locations.
• Strong comprehension of specimen collection, histology processing, and pathology workflows.
• Capability to conduct high-volume prospecting and lead generation through outreach and in-person meetings.
• Willingness to travel within the territory and assist other regions as necessary.
• Over 5 years of experience selling laboratory or CRO services to academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical clients (preferred).
• More than 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in biomedical research (preferred).
• Familiarity with advanced histology techniques, including special stains, IHC, immunofluorescence, multi-omics tissue analysis, image analysis, and pathology consultations (preferred).
