This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Create and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve or surpass revenue and profit goals.
• Discover and develop new business prospects within commercial, government, healthcare, and educational sectors.
• Build and sustain relationships with dealers, distributors, and key decision-makers to boost brand recognition.
• Work alongside the marketing team to execute regional campaigns, promotions, and participate in trade shows.
• Manage current accounts by offering product knowledge, sales assistance, and training.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and facility managers to specify and integrate office furniture solutions.
• Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations customized to meet client requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Meet established targets for market share expansion, revenue, order/shipment volumes, and margin percentage.
• Monitor regional sales performance and deliver regular updates to senior leadership.
• Evaluate market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
• Collect and communicate customer feedback to product development and marketing teams.
• Lead, mentor, and assist a team of sales representatives in achieving their individual and regional objectives.
• Assess sales performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance results.
• Promote a cooperative and results-oriented sales culture within the team.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to fulfill business requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including military experience.
• Over 5 years of sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in regional management.
• Strong industry experience with a demonstrated history of leadership, personnel development, and market expansion.
• At least 3 years of experience in leadership and sales management, overseeing a sales team, driving performance, and having a proven record of developing and leading successful sales teams.
• A wide network of client and influencer relationships within the office interiors sector.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 50% as required.
• Advanced selling capabilities, including account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and contracts (closing), with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with furniture products, space planning, and furniture sales is essential.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to collaborate and negotiate effectively.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment at all organizational levels.
• Ability to forge strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
• Encouragement of innovative ideas and the skill to generate, explore, clarify, and communicate them effectively.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
