This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Formulate and implement a regional growth strategy that achieves sustainable revenue and gross profit increases.
• Generate demand by understanding customer requirements, developing innovative applications, and engaging clients early in the purchasing journey.
• Identify, assess, and cultivate new opportunities with end users, targeted customers, and distributor partners.
• Enhance existing customer connections by uncovering new projects, applications, and growth possibilities.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of regional markets, customer applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
• Attain expert knowledge of the 80/20 product portfolio to assist customers and distributor partners in addressing business challenges, recognizing prospects, and adding value.
• Fortify distributor collaborations through joint planning, coaching, product assistance, and ongoing business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with distributors to pinpoint opportunities early, enhance market reach, and boost success rates.
• Recruit and nurture distributor partners as necessary to enhance regional presence and facilitate long-term growth.
• Exemplify the 80/20 brand with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a dedication to customer and distributor partner success.
• Work in tandem with Sales and cross-functional teams to provide an outstanding experience for customers and partners.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of CRM data, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and regional business plans.
• Provide market insights and customer feedback that enhance product offerings, services, and overall business performance.
• Advocate for continuous improvement by identifying areas to enhance execution, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate regional growth.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in industrial sales, regional sales, channel sales, business development, or similar B2B sales roles, ideally in industrial manufacturing, automation, engineered products, material handling, or related sectors.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (Montreal / Quebec only).
• Documented success in expanding business through direct customer engagement and distributor collaborations.
• Established capability to discover new business opportunities, nurture customer relationships, and drive profitable growth.
• Excellent consultative selling, relationship management, presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Capacity to influence customers, distributor partners, and internal stakeholders while effectively collaborating with Sales and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Self-driven with the capacity to work autonomously and manage a geographically diverse region.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region (40-60%).
