This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Regional Sales Manager role is accountable to the Sr. Director of Sales and will oversee significant food service, retail clients, and distributors within the designated market.
• The ideal candidate will cultivate direct relationships with accounts and engage with new target accounts to advocate for the organization’s products and/or services, aiming to enhance product/service representation among customers and end users in the region.
• The preferred candidate will be based in the Southern, Northern, or Midwest regions of the United States.
• Responsible for achieving territory sales targets and growth objectives.
• Frequent travel (50%) is required, including overnight stays as necessary.
• Management of customer relationships with strong and consistent engagement.
• Drive new business development through effective prospecting and profitable negotiations for growth opportunities with both new and existing customers.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and solutions, leading customer presentations to recommend optimal solutions while highlighting value for the customer.
• Handle back-office customer management tasks such as pricing, contracts, forecasting, receivables, and ensuring a healthy order pipeline.
• Analyze sales reports and tools to effectively identify and report trends and accurate sales forecasts to management.
• Possess intuition and a quick learning capability, with a strong desire and ability to thrive in a competitive team environment.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen to identify business risks and opportunities, with the ability to propose solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Proven ability to effectively organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks, make decisions, and solve problems efficiently.
• Understanding of pricing and profitability, with demonstrated skills in strategizing and negotiating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, sales reporting, and CRM systems, using data to identify risks/opportunities and support decision-making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with professional presentation abilities.
• Resourceful and adept at fostering cross-functional relationships with a collaborative work style and action-oriented approach.
