• Propel year-over-year revenue enhancement and broaden wallet share within designated territories and product lines by cultivating robust relationships with architects, contractors, distributors, and key decision-makers in the commercial construction sector.
• Build, mentor, and guide a high-performing sales team comprising direct sales personnel and independent manufacturer representatives.
• Set clear expectations, promote accountability, nurture talent, and foster a collaborative, performance-oriented culture aimed at collective success.
• Collaborate across functions with Customer Service, Technical Services, Operations, Marketing, and senior management to provide outstanding customer experiences and implement strategic growth initiatives throughout the region.
• Utilize expertise in the commercial construction sector to influence projects from design to installation, offering technical advice on Balco’s engineered architectural products, which include expansion joint systems, stair nosing, entrance mats & grids, and photoluminescent egress systems.
• Formulate and execute competitive sales strategies to enhance specification rates, market share, and profitable growth through targeted engagement with architects, contractors, and distributors.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of market trends, competitive products, pricing strategies, and regional construction activities to position Balco for sustained success.
• Monitor and evaluate sales performance, pipeline activities, forecasting, and competitive intelligence utilizing CRM tools, while providing regular business updates and strategic insights.
• Deliver compelling presentations, lead intricate negotiations, and represent Balco at customer engagements, trade shows, and industry events.
• Travel across the region to support customers, develop teams, enhance partnerships, and stimulate business growth, with travel expectations around 30%.
• High school diploma is mandatory; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Extensive technical knowledge and a proven record of success in selling architectural building products to architects, contractors, and distributors, with the ability to interpret project drawings, conditions, and specifications to suggest optimal solutions.
• Practical experience with expansion joint systems, stair nosing, photoluminescent egress, or similar specialty products is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and leading sales teams to consistently achieve or surpass ambitious growth targets in competitive environments.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Highly relationship-oriented with the capability to influence various stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong customer-centric approach.
• Proficient negotiator comfortable managing complex, multi-party sales situations.
• Confident presenter capable of delivering impactful sales and technical presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM/order management systems, including Salesforce.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR and proof of insurance required).
