This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for the entire region.
• Perform forecasting and reporting on sales activities within the region.
• Collaborate closely with the Managing and Commercial Directors to ensure that the product and commercial offerings are aligned for sustained growth and sales.
• Generate new business through various lead generation methods such as telephone prospecting, physical outreach, and nurturing existing client relationships.
• Assume full responsibility for sales within the region and a portfolio of key accounts; drive profitable sales by promoting additional services and value-added solutions.
• Oversee the sales process from the initial prospecting phase to securing orders and ensuring successful implementation, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and retention.
• Actively manage and foster the growth of product sales within the region.
• Analyze, implement, and manage opportunities in the region effectively and efficiently.
• Take charge of account performance, including:
• Ensuring ongoing retention and maximizing opportunities
• Owning performance against financial targets, and
• Renegotiating renewals.
• Cultivate executive-level relationships.
• Maintain your own prospecting and lead generation database.
• Organize your own schedule and time management.
• A comprehensive understanding of the sales/key account process with at least five years of relevant and successful construction or key account experience.
• Demonstrated success in business development at all levels, with added value related to construction, construction software, or security solutions.
• Strong sales and presentation skills, including probing, listening, and closing techniques, particularly in-depth investigation capabilities.
• Solid grasp of the business and its strategy, with the ability to incorporate this into daily activities and identify opportunities to maximize product sales across various sectors and applications.
• Experience in developing and managing account plans, with a proven history of achieving targets for both new and existing accounts, bids, or tenders.
• Commercially savvy with a total business orientation, capable of understanding labor rate to material costs arguments, and able to present a "value proposition" to clients or potential clients.
• Possess an open communication style; friendly, conscientious, and a committed team player.
• A highly personable relationship builder, able to engage at all levels, including Directors, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers, and Procurement professionals.
• Excellent presentation skills are crucial, along with strong negotiation, commercial, and analytical capabilities.
• Naturally persuasive, creative, and self-motivated; able to identify opportunities and use initiative to convert these into sales.
• A high level of numeracy, computer literacy, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to become adept with our own SaaS product is essential for success.
• Given the nature of the role, experience in selling at both site and senior levels is critical. Adaptability to various environments is key.
