
Regional Sales Lead, Dakota Range

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Guide, mentor, and develop Territory Managers through regular fieldwork (~60% travel), continuous feedback, role-playing, and practical sales training to ensure effective execution and skill enhancement.
• Take ownership of regional revenue performance by driving consistent activities, supporting both new sales and account growth, and guaranteeing that TMs achieve input and output objectives.
• Ensure exceptional Salesforce management and forecasting by reviewing pipelines weekly, maintaining accurate data, and providing deal support for structure, escalations, and key opportunities.
• Act as the regional representative by sharing customer insights, product feedback, and operational challenges with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer teams, and overall leadership.
• Transform national strategy into regional execution plans, facilitate streamlined team rhythms (1:1s, check-ins), and collaborate closely with U.S. commercial leadership on performance and priorities.
• Recruit and nurture high-performing talent, aiding in the rapid scaling of Territory Manager teams as Halter expands across the U.S.
• Strong Frontline Sales Leadership: Experience in leading and developing field sales representatives, preferably in high-growth or fast-paced environments, with a proven history of coaching reps to consistently enhance performance.
• Hands-On, Field-First Mindset: Willingness to spend the majority of time traveling—participating in customer visits, demonstrating best practices, and maintaining a strong connection to real-world customer challenges.
• Expertise in Sales Process & Methodology: Knowledge of modern sales techniques (e.g., consultative/challenger sales models, role-playing, discovery methods) and the capability to coach Territory Managers to excel in them.
• Pipeline, Salesforce, & Forecasting Discipline: Strong operational discipline in CRM management, pipeline oversight, input metrics, and forecasting accuracy—critical in a hardware plus software environment.
