Regional Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Evaluate customer project needs

• Match customer requirements with suitable Fortinet solutions

• Collaborate with internal colleagues to pursue sales opportunities

• Offer specialized network and security technical advice during pre-sales activities

• Foster collaboration across teams

• Engage in continuous self-development and learning to uphold technical expertise in relevant technologies

• Guarantee ongoing customer success, support, and expansion


⛳️ Requirements

• 3 years of relevant pre/post-sales experience along with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

• OR

• Over 5 years of experience in a related field

• Willingness to travel up to 50%

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including prevalent cybersecurity issues, threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities

• Knowledge of cyber threat management principles and incident response

• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including the OSI model and details of common network protocols

• Ability to think critically

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• General knowledge of at least 2 of the following areas: Network operations, Breach detection and prevention, Security operations, DevOps, Wired and wireless access, Identity and access management, Public and private cloud, Web content and security acceleration
