Regional Sales Director – Oncology, West

📋 Description

• Recruit, select, onboard, mentor, and nurture a high-performing team of Oncology Key Account Managers.

• Set clear performance expectations, deliver continuous feedback, and manage performance through regular coaching and formal evaluation processes.

• Conduct frequent field coaching visits to evaluate execution, enhance selling skills, and boost business performance.

• Enhance KAM capabilities through coaching, mentoring, reinforcing training, and tailored development plans.

• Build organizational strength through talent assessment, succession planning, and identifying future leadership potential.

• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer orientation, integrity, and compliance.

• Meet or surpass regional revenue targets, brand performance objectives, and commercial goals.

• Create and implement regional and local business strategies that prioritize key accounts, optimize customer engagement, and maximize commercial effectiveness.

• Optimize regional resource distribution, encompassing customer targeting, promotional resources, speaker programs, and educational initiatives.

• Provide leadership oversight for priority oncology accounts, including community oncology practices, academic centers, hospitals, health systems, and other strategic clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty healthcare sales.

• Proven success in meeting sales targets within a complex healthcare landscape.

• Previous leadership experience is preferred, including direct management, field coaching, training leadership, or demonstrated sales leadership responsibilities.

• Experience leading customer-facing teams and ensuring consistent execution across a geographical area.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

• Willingness to travel 50–70%, including overnight stays.

• Must reside in the assigned region or be willing to relocate before starting.

• Previous experience in oncology sales leadership is preferred.

• Established connections within oncology communities and healthcare systems.
