This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee the U.S. regional sales team for Ingredion’s sweetener offerings, driving exceptional performance in volume, revenue, margin, and strategic growth targets.
• Formulate and implement the annual regional sales strategy in line with the overall U.S./Canada commercial plan and business objectives.
• Mentor, develop, and motivate a high-achieving team of account managers while fostering a strong succession pipeline and talent pool.
• Create and enhance a dynamic sales opportunity pipeline that increases market share, enhances customer penetration, and promotes long-term growth.
• Collaborate with the sales team to formulate strategic account plans and ensure efficient utilization of Salesforce.com to enhance account visibility, opportunity management, and customer engagement.
• Cultivate and strengthen senior-level relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted commercial leader who can drive growth, reinforce strategic partnerships, and expand Ingredion’s presence with significant customers.
• Lead intricate pricing and volume negotiations with a deep understanding of the sweetener industry, leveraging commercial insights to maximize profitability and strategic outcomes.
• Promote customer-facing initiatives related to continuous improvement, sustainability, and customer experience to enable Ingredion to deliver unique value in the marketplace.
• Work collaboratively across commercial, marketing, technical service, and cross-business sales teams to unlock new opportunities, support shared customers, and enhance execution.
• Act as a strategic voice on the Go-to-Market leadership team, providing market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer perspectives that inform commercial priorities and position the business for sustained success.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, preferably within the food ingredients sector or a similar B2B environment.
• Proven success in leading high-stakes customer negotiations, navigating complex commercial choices, and consistently achieving profitable growth in competitive markets.
• Strong leadership experience, with a demonstrated capacity to coach, develop, and retain high-performing talent; 5+ years of management experience required.
• Exceptional commercial judgment, analytical skills, and financial acumen, with a history of making effective business decisions that yield results.
• Strong executive presence and communication abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams, and inspiring confidence throughout the organization.
• Established credibility with major food and beverage clients and a consistent track record of strong performance over time.
