Regional Sales Director – APJ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Spearhead Gurobi’s enterprise sales approach and revenue enhancement initiatives throughout Japan.

• Take ownership of and meet regional sales goals, which include ACV growth, strategic account development, and pipeline advancement objectives.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-achieving enterprise sales team located in Japan.

• Propel forecasting accuracy, pipeline oversight, and strategic deal execution across the region.

• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

• Personally oversee a select portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts within Japan.

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to broaden Gurobi’s market footprint across priority sectors and enterprise clients.

• Formulate and implement territory and account strategies to boost customer acquisition and expansion initiatives.

• Work closely with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams to facilitate complex enterprise opportunities.

• Collaborate with marketing to enhance regional pipeline generation, customer engagement, and brand visibility efforts.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with ecosystem partners, systems integrators, consulting firms, cloud providers, and strategic alliances throughout Japan.

• Maintain precise forecasting and deliver regular business updates to APJ and global sales leadership.

• Stay up-to-date on advancements in mathematical optimization, AI, analytics, and enterprise decision technologies, as well as competitive market dynamics.

• Promote a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable sales culture that aligns with Gurobi’s core values.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of proven enterprise software sales experience, including selling complex technical SaaS or enterprise software solutions.

• More than 5 years of sales leadership and personnel management experience, including leading enterprise sales teams.

• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding enterprise sales goals within the Japan market.

• Strong background in managing complex, consultative sales processes involving multiple business and technical stakeholders.

• Proven ability to build executive relationships within large enterprise organizations in Japan.

• Experience within global or matrixed organizations is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese (both spoken and written) and professional fluency in English required.
