This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Oversee the reimbursement landscape for Ipsen products within the Neuroscience therapeutic area in the healthcare provider sector.
• Foster relationships with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
• Deliver prompt field-based reimbursement assistance to targeted healthcare providers for Ipsen’s Neurology therapies.
• Interpret local and national payer policies while aiding customers with coding, coverage, and payment inquiries.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, field, sales, brand, and IPSEN CARES teams to enhance access and minimize obstacles.
• Design and formulate reimbursement strategies, tactics, tools, and approved field materials.
• Establish and maintain connections with MAC contacts.
• Provide reimbursement assistance at advisory boards and professional conferences.
• Act as an internal expert in field reimbursement and deliver competitive intelligence.
• Identify reimbursement-related obstacles to access and counsel Account Managers on payer challenges and trends.
• Support patient access across private practices, hospitals, academic institutions, thought leaders, advocates, and professional societies.
• Organize Ipsen presentations at payer and healthcare provider meetings.
• Meet response-time and other reimbursement support metrics.
• Analyze and prepare for changes in local payer coverage policies.
• Assist in the development of reimbursement-related training programs for healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Neurology, Sales, Account Management, Market Access, and Brand teams to tackle access barriers and promote portfolio growth.
• Provide field-based insights for academic centers, integrated health systems, and community neurology practices.
• Analyze treatment patterns, referral networks, payer coverage trends, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Support regional reimbursement readiness for new neurology product launches.
• Develop launch-related reimbursement strategies, educational materials, and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Monitor payer policies, prior authorization, step therapy, coding and payment updates, specialty pharmacy trends, and utilization management.
• Track competitive reimbursement and access developments and offer recommendations.
• Analyze the impacts of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Build relationships with neurology practice administrators, reimbursement specialists, infusion center leaders, and advocacy organizations.
• Educate providers on reimbursement best practices and market access trends.
• Contribute to forecasting, lifecycle management, evidence dissemination, and future product planning.
• Support reimbursement resources, training programs, and field tools.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industries.
• More than 5 years of relevant reimbursement experience related to injectable or infused drugs, or medical device products requiring reimbursement support.
• Proven ability to address access-related challenges at both the provider and payer levels.
• Expert-level understanding of coverage, coding, and payment policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, administrative capabilities, and team-building expertise.
• Capability to simplify complex messages and rationales in a compliant manner.
• Ability to work independently and lead effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, and matrixed environment.
• Highest standards of personal integrity and ethics, with a strong sense of judgment and discretion.
• Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile smartphone use, along with Veeva CRM and Concur expense reporting software.
• Physical ability to operate relevant machines and/or equipment as necessary.
• Willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours as needed to fulfill business requirements.
• Capability to manage a large geographic territory and work effectively from a home office, vehicle, or customer location.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%, including regular overnight travel by air or car.
• Must reside near a major airport in the South Central region.
• A Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, business administration, life sciences, or a related field is required.
• An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) is preferred.
• Certification in Medical Coding is preferred.
• Previous reimbursement support experience with physician-administered (“buy and bill”) oncology and neurology drugs is preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Part D products is strongly preferred.
