This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in substantial regional travel, reaching up to 50% (typically 30-40%) to each City of License within your designated territory.
• Ensure visits to each City of License occur at least the minimum number of times per year as specified by the Director.
• Strategically plan territory travel to meet required compliance standards while being conscious of travel-related expenses.
• Document your discussions, observations, and activities in each city or market, focusing on identifying the needs and concerns of local residents.
• Build and maintain relationships with local volunteers (CCVs) in each full-powered signal City of License within your assigned region.
• Establish and nurture ongoing connections with local, state, and federally elected officials regarding City of License compliance.
• Ensure that jurisdictions can access the K-LOVE Air1 News Department to report urgent situations that need to be addressed on air.
• Gather pertinent public affairs interviews, edit them, and submit for airing on local stations as part of the weekly Closer Look program.
• Conduct interviews either in-person or via phone using provided equipment.
• Apply knowledge of the “K-LOVE Sound” to report any issues related to a station’s performance.
• Actively engage with Signal Development and Engineering to discuss and troubleshoot performance issues related to FCC Compliance.
• Request and place orders with Traffic for complimentary local Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to air in Cities of License, highlighting local issues, free community events, or directing listeners to local service providers.
• Collaborate with other departments when events are conducted in your territory, as directed by the Director.
• Complete all accountability documentation using software such as Concur, Service Now, Sharepoint, and Aquira promptly, as directed by your manager.
• Participate in remote staff meetings with fellow RPAMs and travel to Franklin HQ for various events, including the annual Christmas Banquet.
• Proactively propose and develop innovative strategies to ensure FCC compliance.
• Regularly communicate these suggestions to the Sr. Regional Public Affairs Manager or the Director of Public Affairs as appropriate.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, public relations, or a combination of education/training with relevant experience.
• At least five years of experience in marketing, customer relations, brand management, or a comparable role.
• Extensive experience in audio production, from initial recording to digital editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Audition is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the capacity to foster genuine business/ministry relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently while establishing and achieving performance/ministry objectives.
• Excellent self-management skills required to meet goals in a timely manner.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% each year to City of Licenses within your territory.
